Orientation; Straight Sig. Other; Nobody Family; Adopted by Kali
Personality// When you first meet Ichabod he is cold, rude and just not the most likable foxerfly. He just sits there, glaring at everyone like grumpy cat. He tends not to trust people very easily and would much rather be alone than with someone else. Ich is normally seen lurking in the shadows, avoiding pretty much everyone. He doesn't really open up to anyone at anytime simply because he doesn't want to. He claims to fear nothing, and really it's a lie. Nobody can fear nothing, it's simply not possible. He just chooses to not let fear control his life and let's nothing hold him back. Unfortunately, this sometimes leads to stupid and reckless decisions. He never thinks about how it could hurt him of other foxerflies. His rash decisions never really hurt anyone just yet, nor has he hurt himself. Luck, Kali says. He really just feels alone. After what happened to his parents he just couldn't wrap his mind around it, and instead of letting his emotions out he let them build up inside. He has so much inside of him that he just wants to let go, but he just can't. It haunts him all the time and he sees it every time he closes his eyes. Ich is incredibly intelligent and adores mythology, but won't show it. When Kali tells a story he listens intently from in a tree or bush as if others truly cared that he was there or not. Ichabod tries to remember everything about them, even though it normally doesn't work. He is also good at trickery and coming up with plans, mostly because of Kali and mya. He adores making traps just because he loves watching them struggle to get out of get free. He never actually harms them extremely bad of course, he doesn't want to be the one to have to clean up the mess. He does however challenge them to a fight in exchange for his help, and if they agree he normally ends up winning. His muscular build, quick reflexes and his clever thinking all help with that. He is extremely good at what he does and is proud of it. His favorite foxerfly to fight? Crispin. The two will play fight for hours on end, the two unsure if they are actually friends or enemies. Ich does have kind and gentle bones in his body, but he doesn't like them. He believes that kindness can get you killed, that it's a weakness. As he gets older this will change of course. He just wants to be left alone most of the time, only wanting to be by others if it's a fighting match. He does bite, so watch yourself when you're around him.
Hobbies Pickpocketing;; Kali has taught him quite a bit, and when they go into the small town they live by he steals things from everyone and anyone. Kali had done the same thing when she was a kit and teenager, and she's proud that he does such a fine job. Fighting;; Fighting is also a skill taught by Kali, and man does he love it. He loves the thrill you get when in a battle, and the feeling after, if you win, is amazing. He hates losing. Sometimes Kali lets him win, other times she lets him lose. He tries his hardest against any opponent, and he isn't afraid of how big or small they are, he knows never to underestimate. Although there are times where he feels so confident in winning, especially when pinning Kali or Mya down, they always find a way to shoot him down. He knows why, but he hates it. Hunting;; This is a skill he learned half on his own, half taught by mya and Kali. He saw a bird flying in the air one day and had a thought; why can't I eat it? Despite his attempts they did not succeed. He threw a rock at it, he missed, he flew after it, he was to slow, and it simply flew away. He desperately tried to kill a bird, and when mya and Kali saw this they decided to help him with that to. After a few years of work he will be a skilled Hunter, but for now he still misses his prey.
Fears;; Loving someone else;; Ich fears just about any kind of love, whether it's him loving someone else or someone else loving him. He feels that once he gets close to someone they will be taken away from him, and he doesn't want to risk it. He even refuses to get close to his guardians in fear that someone will hurt one of them and he wont be able to save them. Ares will never grow out of this fear, even if he has a mate and children when he's older.
Vampires;; Once Aislinn told him what the shadowy creature that attacked him was, he was never able to get it out of his head and his nightmares return. He will always have this fear, no matter how hard he tries he won't be able to stop it. He deals with this fear in a more... Interesting... way more interesting. He is more likely to full on attack a vampire than run away from it.
Dying;; Even though he hasn't seen the underworld just yet, he knows what's down there and where they are separated into. Ichabod fears what may happen to him when he dies. He doesn't want to be punished for anything he did, nor does he want to mindlessly walk around not knowing who he is.Unfortunately, he doesn't wish to change his ways either. Either way it's a loose loose situation, and he doesn't want to ink about it. Unfortunately, there are times where it happens to cross his mind and torture him, causing stress and sadness in him.
Losing;; Ichabod is a sore loser. He absolutely hates losing and just can't do it, although it does push him to do better. If he loses he will completely ignore the person who won, and if they brag about it then he attacks. He brags about his wins sometimes, but there are other times when he just can't stand others who brag, especially if it was a win against him. When he loses he just gets so enfuriated that anyone who comes his way is as good as dead. But in a bigger sense of losing, he's afraid of losing someone he loves like Kali or Mya. Being Trapped;; This is a big fear of his. He doesn't like the idea of being trapped, mostly because being trapped means death to him. if Ichabod seems stuck in any way, like his paw gets stuck in mud and he can't pull it out, or if there's something above him when he's swimming he freaks out. It's horrible and terrifying for the little kit, although he would never admit it of course. He wants to be brave, but doesn't seem to eliminate his fears. Of course, everyone has their fears.
Flaws;; Would rather fight than talk it out;; Ich is a violent one what would much rather fight others than have a good discussion over it, mainly because he hates listening. He enjoys showing off his strength as he dislikes to talk to others as well. He gets into plenty of fights because of this, whether you know him or not. This is why it's so easy for Ichabod to make enemies, but he doesn't want friends anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
Easily Angered;; Ich has an extremely short temper that can blow up in a heartbeat. He seems to never get along with others and can normally be seen pinning them down and snarling in their face as a warning, whether your close to him or not. Of course this really only happens when someone tries to befriend him and annoys him and/or your his age. He obviously can't pin someone down who is twice his size, well, unless they're weak and/or not trying at all whatsoever.
'Sneak Attack!';; Ichabod adores doing random sneak attacks on his family and very few friends.he will follow you around for up to an hour and when he finds the perfect time to strike he most certainly will. He absolutely adores scaring you, and he doesn't even know his talent yet so imagine him doing this while he is invisible! Ah, the creepiness that he radiates it priceless, and the terrified expressions that those he attacks is even better!
Relationships// Kallista ;; Aislinn trusted Kallista to care for Ichabod, and that's what she's going to do. Kali adores little kits, she even helped raise Mya when Lupine took her in. Kali really does love Ich, and wants to help him. Unfortunately, that means being a little tougher on him. Ichabod isn't sure how to feel about Kali, he wants to love her and accept her as his new temporary mom, but he can't bring himself to it. It's mostly because he's afraid to, he doesn't want to lose her as well. If he gets to close he feels like he will just put her in danger, and he just can't do it. Kali tries to get close to him, she's tried to bond over hunting together, running through the woods with the little guy, and teaching him how to fly as lupine had taught her. Nothing seems to work. The thing that makes the kit smile is when it comes to her training him, he enjoys it above everything else. Sometimes Kali will do a seal attack on him, obviously not going full force just yet. He pins her down when he does everything perfectly, but if he doesn't Kali pushes him down and has him do it again. It's a love-hate relationship with the two, mostly tough love. Ichabod may deny truly loving and accepting Kallista, but he truly does adore her in every way.
Mya ;; Ichabod is a bit more distant towards saumya than he is with Kali. Since he had never met her he felt like he couldn't trust her. Mya tried her best to win him over, but the little kit doesn't budge. He doesn't refuse to go somewhere with her when she asks, however. She tries to teach him about his surroundings, although most of the time Ichabod will run off while she's talking to go mess with something. He gets bored and really doesn't want to listen, he likes being active and free, not listening to a lecture about a tree and how it's a good place to hide or whatever. He doesn't really care much for what she does, or why she does it, he just wants to fight and hunt.
Lupine ;; Although the feud between Kali, Rizzo and Lupine has mostly ended, Kali still doesn't love or trust Lupine as much as she had used to. Ich feels the same way. Whenever Lupine and Ichabod meet the two are glaring at one another, Ich's reckless yet brave nature taking over. Ich would be no match if Lupine decided to attack, and they both know that, but doesn't seem to really care. The two are constantly spitting fire at each other and it doesn't stop until one of the girls steps in and breaks it up, normally it's Kali and Mya together since Mya knows Kali will gladly attack the older brute. Ich despises lupine in every way, from the time he talks to when he walks, Ich feels like he just needs to go. The two will never see eye to eye, and one day they will brawl to the point only one can win.
Crispin ;; Crispin and Ich get along great, even if neither of them are really the nicest. Cry was happy to find someone that is like him, and Ich was glad to have a brawling buddy. Although both grumps towards other foxerflies, these two are close and it seems that even though Lupine despises Ichabod, Cry adopted him as a brother figure. Ichabod and Crispin will sometimes spend hours fighting with one another, only stopping when they feel like they've done enough or they need to eat. This improves both of their fighting skills, even after they know each other's secrets. When needed the two will fight with one another, and when this happens they're practically unstoppable. Unfortunately, cry has a temper on him and so does Ich. When these two are angry at one another they won't speak for days, sometimes even a month. They always end up forgetting about it in he end and just forgive one another.
The wind howled through the sleeping city, nothing but the loud beeping of a few cars in the night keeping little Ich awake. His intelligent eyes scanned the outside as if something were wrong, something wasn't right. His nightmares constantly haunted him, and at night they seem to come to life. tik, tock, tick, tock. the clock ticked in his mind, his heart starting to speed up as a dark, shady figure seemed to walk around at night. He muffled a scream, he didn't want to alarm his poor family. They seemed to stress much more and more lately, although he never learned why. He followed the figure with his eyes, watching as it walked around the almost empty street. Suddenly it attacked someone. He gasped and watched as the shadowy figure pierced the poor, unsuspecting foxerflies flesh. He watched as it collapsed to the ground, not a single drop of blood hitting the cold concrete sidewalk. Ich had been so focused on what had happened he hadn't noticed the cold, merciless stare the shadowy foxerfly had on him, it's fangs bared with fresh, crimson blood dripping from it's mouth. He squeaked and ducked down, his heart racing. He had no idea what he had witnessed, and he didn't want to find out. The dashed into bed and his under his covers, trying to comprehend what had happened. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Maybe it was just his overactive imagination again. He crawled up to the window to see it as if nothing had happened. Everything was fine. Believing this he went off to sleep, shivering and thrashing about once again with his nightmares.
The next morning was a gloomy, rainy one with a cool breeze. He didn't go to school, his parents were paranoid with something, but he wasn't aloud to stray to far from the house. He didn't listen. He wanted to know more, to learn, to be a normal kid. Fatal mistake. His parents came searching for him, and when Ich ran back home two large bite marks were dug into their throats, their eyes rolled over and their expressions pure terror. To his surprise, not a drop of blood was on the ground. He didn't know what to feel: confusion, anger, sadness, guilt. Instead he remained emotionless. Ichabod spent the night on the streets, fatal mistake number two. As he made his home in an alleyway, the dark figure appeared again. It bared it's long, sharp fangs at little ares. Fortunately, Ichabod was done with being afraid. He felt nothing but pure hate for the beast, he knew it was this demonic creature that had left him an orphan. He was small, but fierce. Unfortunately not fierce enough. The demonic creature grinned and lunged at him, just barely missing him. Ichabod, however, was unsure of what to do and how to do it. He tried his best to evade the demonic creature, but was pinned down. It seemed to laugh at him for a moment, and as he closed his eyes and prepared for unbelievable pain, the weight was lifted off of him.
Shocked, the little orphan looked up to see what looked like a skeleton freighting with the shady figure. He thought it was all over when the shadowy figure sunk it's fangs into her flesh, but the skeletal foxerfly didn't even flinch. Instead she seemed to get rather enraged. The skeletal foxerfly muttered some words, the shady figure screeched and suddenly was sucked into her charm. All was silent. Ich growled at the larger foxerfly, ready for a fight if needed. The skeletal foxerfly seemed to smile, although he couldn't truly tell due to the markings she had on her face. "Tough little guy, aren't you?" She mused, her tail swishing back and forth. Ichbod snarled, flexing his claws. "Go away!" He yelled. He wasn't in the mood. Deep down inside he was itching for a fight, something to prove he could have taken the creature down. The skeletal foxerfly grinned. "You thought you could take a vampire on?" She asked rudely, sarcasm edging her voice. vampires, so that's what that thing was. Ich narrowed his eyes, but said nothing. "Admit it kid, you'd be vampire chow if it weren't for me." She hissed, her red eyes watching the kit intently. He rolled his eyes, standing proudly against Aislinn. "Yeah? Well, what if I wanted to be vampire chow?" He argued, his eyes blazing with mixed emotions. Aislinn could tell that he would be very strong one day, a good ally to have. Her normal creepy grin came upon her face once again, her claws flexing excitedly. "You want to be afraid." She whispered, her eyes starting to glow as she attempted to petrify him. Some were immune, those who don't let fear control their lives, those who will indeed be considered strong. Those foxerflies were special. They were rare, and Ares was one of them.
Ichabod, in fact, started to bite Aislinn. When he realized she didn't feel it he tilted his head. "Wait a second, why can you not feel anything?" He asked curiously. This interested him. Aislinns smile faded, this was a more serious topic. "Why don't you come with me, I have somewhere you can go." She offered, glancing down. The little kit seemed braver than the demon now. Ichabod backed away. "How do I know I can trust you?" He hissed, his anger clear. Something shone in his eyes, and Aislinn knew very well what it was. Betrayal. He didn't trust anyone, he felt like it had to be him, only him. Aislinn sat down and shook her head. "Tsk Tsk little kit, think about what I've done for you." She pointed out. "Yeah, and you have the shady weird vampire thing in your charm, how do I know you won't let it out for it to hurt me again?" He shot back. Smart kit. Aislinn stood up, starting to grow impatient with the orphan. "It's my job, to capture under-worldly creatures who harm others and the lost souls, I bring them to the underworld." Aislinn said, taking a deep breath to calm herself. Ares eyes suddenly shone with curiosity. "The underworld?" Aislinn nodded. "Stick with me pup, and maybe I'll take you there." She promised, and that was it. Ichabod couldn't resist and said yes, and he stayed with the demon.
Aislinn took him on quite a journey before they got to their destination. Ichabod didn't say anything to Aislinn, and Aislinn said nothing to Ich. Finally, they made it to Lupines forest. Ich didn't think much of it, in fact he was wondering why they were even here. Suddenly, a pretty blue foxer with alarming red eyes comes out of the shadows. The young kid backed up a bit, why did everyone he meet have red eyes? She stared at him, her eyes narrowed. Kali then eyed Aislinn and shrugged. "If you think he could take being here, me and Mya could take care of him." She offered, not even glancing at him another time. Ichabod felt like he should protest, he wasn't just a toy that people could trade off when they got tired of him. Why had even agreed to come? "Alright, but I'm going to return once he turns 15, I would love to show him the underworld." Aislinn said, and Ich widened his eyes. This was why he agreed to come. Kali rolled her eyes. "Fine. Until then, my friend." Kali said, then turned to leave. "Coming, little one?" She asked softly. Ichabod looked at Aislinn, who smiled and nodded to him as a yes. He could make it work, he could do it, and he will.
