Imagine a vast kingdom with no problems, the king and queen happily reigning over their thriving kingdom. For many years the King and Queen worked in harmony, and in time bore a baby girl- princess Calixte. Life was perfect for the royal family, however perfect never lasts to long. The princess grew a neighboring kingdom planned to attack. July 4th they attacked. Cannons, gunshots, screams filled the air and for Calixte she can't remember anything but that. For many months the war lasted, and in the end the king was captured and sentenced to death. The queen was in hiding, Calixte- at the age of 6- was with her. "Momma? Where are we going?" She asked, the little princess not understanding what was going on. "We have to go far, far away." Was the only response she would ever get. One night the guards sent to catch the queen had finally found her, the queen had no choice but to flee once again. "I can't keep Calixte with me, it's to dangerous." She whispered, tears running down her face. "Mommy, why are you crying?" She asked nervously, tears welling up in her eyes as well. "Remember I love you and I always will, okay?" She asked, carrying the young princess in the darkness of night. Calixte heard the hollers of men my hat weren't to far behind her, although after awhile they seemed to lose track. This was when the Queen decided to put the confused little girl somewhere she would be safe, the city. They continued traveling until she found an alleyway, dark but nothing seemed to be there. "Honey you have to stay here, okay? No matter where I go, please don't come back to the castle." She said, taking the crown off of her head and placing it on Calixte after wiping a tear from her eye. "Mommy?" Calixte asked, but she was gone. She sat there holding her crown, completely alone. In the morning, the orphaned princess awoke to see the city, not her home as she had wished. She walked around, her posture proud and confident as she had been taught. However this was not how she felt, she wanted to cry and be back home and see that this never happened. After awhile she found herself at the park, seeing various kids play and have fun. She stared at them, never seeing something like this before. She sat on the bench and took everything that had happened in. She couldn't help but start crying, curling up at the bench and bawling. She hadn't stopped when someone noticed and came over to her in curiosity. He was tall, his fur different color browns with green speckles and horns to pop out. Following him was two younger beans, a little boy and girl, with their mother not to far behind. "Whats wrong?" Asked the older male. For a few moments Calixte wouldn't respond, not even acknowledging that she had heard them. Then, she picked up her head, wiped a tear, and decided to speak up. "I want to go home, but momma said I couldn't anymore." she said, her voice low and filled with sadness. The older male looked rather confused, staring at the young bean with big green eyes. "Mommy and daddy are gone." Calixte said and the family of beans understood. The older male looked to his family then back at Calixte and held out a hand. "Why don't you come with us? We'll take care of you." He said kindly, Calixte looking up and frowning. "I don't know who you are." she murmured, narrowing her eyes, her eyes coldly and placing her tail in front of her face. "I'm Darian, this is my wife Enika and my two children Kailani and Evian, and if you let us you can join us too." He offered. Calixte looked up once again, her light blue eyes meeting his. "What if you leave me too?" She asked nervously, sitting up. Her crown was in her hands as she stood up from the bench and took Darians hand. "I'm Princess Calixte." "Princess?" Darian said, a wide smile coming upon his face as he held the tiny claws of 'princess' Calixte. Calixte nodded. "Yeah, I don't know what happened though Everything was going so well..." she murmured, looking down and that sad look she had not to long ago had returned. Darian looked to Enika in alarm, he didn't want her to be sad once again. Enika switched places with Darian who clearly wasn't doing a very good job trying to make her feel better. This time, Enika spoke in a soft and disarming tone. "Honey it's going to be okay--" She was cut off by Calixte who looked up with her big blue eyes. "I know it is." She started, looking at both Darian and Enika with a serious look. "You found me, you're my new guardian angels. I know you were meant to find me, I know it. Maybe what happened back home was supposed to happen so I can be with you." She said, smiling widely as she awaited for the response of the beans who she had deemed her 'guardian angels' that seemed rather shocked. Finally, Darian spoke. "You know we'll love and protect you then, and you'll be the newest addition to our already large family?" He clarified, a little confused that she had trusted them so easily with her life. He worried for a minute about this, imagining if someone else had found her that wasn't as good of a bean in general. His daydream was cut short, however, as her little high-pitched squeaky voice cut in. "You mean like more brothers and sisters?" She asked curiously. "Not exactly." Enika chuckled. "I have a really big family, with my parents and my many brothers and sisters and their families alone I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun meeting them." Darian said, looking rather excited about it. "I can't wait to see them!" Calixte said excitedly, jumping onto Darian's back and climbing up onto his head. "Onward!" Calixte shouted eagerly as they all walked to the car. Throughout the ride it was a shock to Calixte that Darian and Enika still wanted to adopt her. "Oooh, I want to go to that A-U-T-O place!" she said, looking at every store and either spelling or sounding it out. She had never been outside her castle walls for very long, not to mention she had never been inside to many places. "Can we stop there? What's that place? I like that building, its got a lot of pretty colors! Can I eat tires?" was basically the entire ride there. When they made it home, it seemed they were thankful as Kailani and Evian couldn't wait to get out of their seats to leave, unless they were normally like that. Darian grinned, picking up Calixte and placing his hand over her eyes. "Ready to see your new home?" He asked, carrying the squirming little blue bean into the home. Then the thought hit him. "Enika where is she going to sleep?" He asked. "The guest bedroom?" Enika muttered. "We'll get new things to decorate it, of course." Enika told Calixte. Cal grinned, then jumped a she felt something poke her back. "Gah!" She turned around to see Kailani grinning madly. "You are pwincess?!" She said, bouncing up and down a bit. Calixte grinned and nodded, taking her little crown and placing it on Kailanis head. "Yep! And I now dub thee a princess aw well!" Calixte declared. Kailani widened her eyes and her smile somehow got bigger. "Mommy Daddy im a pwincess too!" She stated. Darian chuckled. "Calixte I'm going to take you to meet my side of the family throughout the week, it'll be fun." He aid and Calixte grinned. "This is going to be awesome. And its funny, I'm a princess. It's my own happily ever after."
Personality If you see Calixte you may think stuck up, snobby, even rude. Especially with that overconfident smirk of her face almost 24/7. However, if you truly believe this, you may want to learn not to judge a book by its cover. Calixte, in fact, is quite the opposite! Darian and Enika have taught her how to be gentle, kind and accepting of everyone, even if she is a true royal bean. Cal is welcoming to new friends and makes quite a few of them, however there are always the jealous ones that seem to ruin it for Lexi. She's a very determined and stubborn little girl that seems to stand by her opinion, if she says no it will most likely always be no. She's also rather chatty once she opens up to you, telling stories of the different things she remembers from when she were with her biological parents. Calixte isn't normally one to worry about the little things and is actually rather care free and laid back towards others, making friends everywhere she goes. Some say she has a rather vivid imagination due to her saying that she was a princess, and although she does have a rather vivid imagination she never makes something up just because she wants to. She tends to put a little to much trust in others, sometimes not really meaning to do so. She doesn't realize that sometimes she puts herself or others at risk. Calixte is actually extremely smart for her age, having private tutors since she was able to speak. Her favorite class? Always has been music and art, never being able to decide on which she likes more. In fact, she ha a hard time making decisions in general. Favorite color? Forget it, she'll name the colors of the rainbow then say she likes grey or something along the lines of that, never knowing what she likes or wants. She does know, however, that she loves a clean area. She always finds herself racing around the house cleaning up something, whether its her mess or someone else's she jut can't seem to help herself. This I also a plus for her since she loves to help other out, especially the family that took her in and treat them as their own. Helping around the house and even in the community is the least she could do. She knows that even though she can't rule another area then the least she could do is try her best to help out. She is set on making a difference in the world, although she is young she believes that she can. She won't let this dream of hers go no matter what happens. Calixte has this habit of spouting out lyrics of songs that she has heard. She'll be talking to someone and if the conversation allows it she'll just say the lyrics of a song the entire time. This can sometimes get on other Jellybean Dragons nerves but for the most part they actually go along with it and continue the conversation in the same songs lyrics or a completely different song. She also loves to hang upside down from her tail on trees just for the fun of it. Unfortunately, she can't always last very long and will fall. A lot. Like a cat, however, she seems to always land on her feet and not get many injuries, although it depends how high she was as well.
Teenage Years After being stabbed and left to die by Kid (owned by the lost soul), Calixte became a bit more distant than before. She isn't as sociable, although she does try to talk. She also took up learning how to fight, and was taught by fenris and Blythe. She grew close to her current boyfriend, Simon. (owned by Lady Masquerade)
Calixte and Darian Calixte loves Darian and although she knows he isn't her real father she never sees any reason to treat him less. Darian does everything he can for Calixte and she loves spending time with him. He's taught her a lot about 'peasant' life and how to be a good citizen. Calixte gets along well with Darian more because he is like an overgrown child in her eyes. His energetic personality gets along with hers as they could spend all day messing around together if they wished. Her favorite this is when Darian helps her to climb up things, the feeling of being high is just different feeling, but its a good feeling. Calixte and Darian are usually seen together, Calixte commonly on Darian's head and playing with his horns. Calixte sees Darian not only as her adoptive father but her friend and teacher. He shows her the world in a way she feels is unique to Darian, the world seen in a much different way. Calixte especially loves the long nature walks he takes her and the family on every once and awhile, and Calixte can't help but ask questions from when he was a kid. "What was it like having so many siblings around?" or "How did you meet mama?"
Calixte and Enika Calixte sees Enika not only as her mother but as her protector as well. Since Enika is a paramedic, Calixte believes she is some sort of super hero that saves lives. Cals curiosity nips at her until she jut comes out with dozens of questions. She finds that being a paramedic is amazing, and for a short time she even wanted to be one herself. Even though Cal may seem a bit annoying it doesn't seem to affect Enika in any way. Calixte loves the 1x1 conversations with Enika, it makes her feel better about living with them and, not that she didn't trust them a bunch before, with every passing day she seems to find new reasons to trust the family completely.
Calixte and Kailani Calixte loves her new sister with a passion She finds it so much fun having a sister around to love and play with rather than being an only child. The two are almost always together, whether they're playing dress up or doing each others make up Calixte love playing princess with Kailani, they pretend to be royalty and try to be the boss of everyone around them, along with calling them peasants and, Calixtes favorite, swine's. (They heard it on T.V. and found it so much fun to say) They also tends to watch a lot of Barbie, which may not have been so bad if Calixte and Kailani didn't hog the T.V constantly. They almost never fight over things and tend to get along extremely well, and for sisters that can be quite hard sometimes. In the future they're going to stay close, Cal and Kailani always looking out for each other. Calixte isn't one to lay with dolls though, which isn't all that odd but she just doesn't like them. If Calixte and Kailani do play a form of dolls, she is usually the one to be the dragon or unicorn or some other magical creature. (As a dragon she will actually hold the dragon toy close to her face and blow a small amount of fire to look like its actually breathing fire. Of course after awhile it got old, and after nearly burning the house down about 3 times she eventually stopped. As teenagers they will probably get into quite a bit of trouble, a duo of danger, and if Evian decides to join them they'll be a trio of trouble!
Calixte and Evian Calixte loves her adoptive brother and is excited to have him as a relative. She loves forcing him to play with him, sometimes making him look like a princess along with her and Kailani. Other times she makes him a knight to save Calixte and Kailani from the 'dragon' (a stuffed animal, a friend, or even their parents) that holds them hostage.
